AS/400 Terminal Keyboard Mapping

AS/400s, like every other computer system, have their own terminals with some special keys. IBM calls the AS/400 terminal a "5250" type. While using a PC for AS/400 terminal emulation, certain keys on the PC keyboard are remapped to a 5250 terminal key function.

Right click to download this version of the Mocha keyboard mapping file and save it in your Mochasoft directory as tn52keys.map (e.g. C:\Program Files\Mochasoft\tn52keys.map).

Right click to download this version of the CA/400 keyboard mapping file and save it in your Client Access Express directory as as400std.kmp (e.g. C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Emulator\Private\as400std.KMP). You must configure your session to use this AS400STD keyboard file... start the terminal program; on the menu: Assist / Keyboard Setup / specify Keyboard-File Name selected using the Browse window: AS400STD.KMP

All other keys perform the same as PC keyboard functions. Unlike the simpler Mocha, CA/400 has extra capabilities for keyboard undo/cut/copy/paste functions. This version of the CA/400 map has been changed to the Windoze standards on both the left Ctrl-Z/X/C/V and Ins/Del keys. Also, this CA/400 map follows other Windoze keyboard editing standards for next word (left Ctrl + arrow left/right) and selecting text (shift + arrow left/right/up/down)
